Mukta Reveal is a continuation of something so simple and so old and so difficult to maintain (but inevitable) in the distorted game play of late stage capitalism. This is a protected place for innocence-wisdom and innate awe. The kind of awe that helps you:
Remember the human role of responsible co-creation with life
Embody the unique puzzle piece that Nature made you to be so that the entire web can function more harmoniously
Reach for the vast supports available through Spirit and the ancestral technology of art-making
Naturally want to show up for the well being of yourself and others (including the more than human realm) without getting lost in despair
The play of reality is Nature’s Sacred Striptease
I said yes to creating Mukta Reveal after many years of researching how people learn and how culture changes. I went down a lot of roads and asked a lot of questions; I studied art and theater, I got a Master’s in Counseling, I learned how hold ritual, speak to spirits and play with energy, I nerded out on neurobiology and “trauma healing.” But the truth is this art-form is about love. My love for this reality, as challenging and embittering as it can be. And Love with a capital “L”, as in unconditional, completely direct, and fundamentally transformative.
Mukta Reveal is an art-form based in :
embodied research
high integrity play
and wild devotion
Embodied research means we use our bodily experience and our senses to learn. We sniff, and touch, and listen, and feel our way through what is often a nonlinear process. We value a bottom-up (immediate felt-sense, intuition first) line of inquiry.
high integrity play occurs when we:
are aligned with something bigger and wiser than the everyday “me”, like Nature, our radiant ancestors, or our own Deep Self/ true nature.
Release our expectations and surrender into warmly curious spontaneous expression. Like improv but cooler and more relaxing.
Cultivate ordinary awe and devotion through the senses.
Wild devotion speaks to the spiritual origins of this art-form. The image of Mukta Reveal (Mukta in this context meaning “liberated” in Sanskrit) is of Snake Mother as the entire inseparable body of Reality, revealing and concealing herself in waves and coils and tremors. Snake Mother is how I, and many people across time, describe the dynamic wisdom and movement of nature. Through the pulse of Eros, or primordial desire, she dances reality into existence, and then dances us back into formlessness again. The foundation of this dance is nondual (holistic) delight and play.
The Artist’s Boudoir
The Artist’s Boudoir includes peeks behind the curtain of Larissa’s creative process and projects, as well as more completed works of visual art, film, and writing. You also get invited to live monthly meditations called You Feeling Me Feeling You, and a private community to chat and share your own works and resources. At this tier you get to choose how much you want to participate; some may be here just to enjoy the creations and be a patron, some may want to connect with others and get inspired by the vibe.

The Play of Reality is Nature’s Sacred Striptease
Mukta Reveal on Circle is an artist boudoir and home of the ritual theater practice Tabooboo Play. This is a gathering place, a touchstone, a protected den of animist sanity for those who are devoted to high integrity play and its applications to culture shaping and new paradigm birthing. “Mukta” in Sanskrit means many things, but in this context it means “liberated”, hence, “liberated reveal.” Mukta Reveal is a wink 😉 and a booty shake toward the mysterious and dynamic play of this unfolding reality, aka Nature’s Sacred Striptease. We call upon the wisdom of Nature (often referred to as Snake Mother and Kali Ma in this space) to reveal our truest expressions, our connection to limitless divine intimacy, and the aligned actions that need to come through for the good of the whole.
This space is alive! It will change over time according to the needs of its facilitator (Larissa) and its members. The design choices for this playscape come from many disciplines and life events; primarily ritual theater, community organizing and social change, Spirit Work and energetics, mental health counseling, embodiment, dreams, system-less experimental “meditation”, and improvisational art-making. Currently there are opportunities to experience Larissa’s art and creative process, to attend live events like monthly meditations and workshops, receive tutorials, and to train in Tabooboo.
High integrity play is creatively collaborating with the wisdom of Nature/Spirit in a way that brings benefit and balance to the Whole (All, global, local, personal). It is the understanding that our places, our Earth, the galaxy, and the subtle realms are nourished by our joy, our naturalness, and our art-making. To deny this birthright is to spiritually starve ourselves and our immediate and vast ecosystems. To deny this birthright is to allow structures of domination and exploitation to decide for us what our vitality feeds.
Here we operate from a nondual (holistic) animist view, where all phenomena, every thought, every being, every fart, every horror, is an interconnected interrelated expression of Nature, which is inseparable from Spirit. In this view we recognize that humans are not the center of the universe, and Nature is not constrained by our limited concepts of how we think things should or shouldn’t be. Instead, we get real with what is actually happening and lean on the support of the many (so many) beings and forces much wiser than us as we open to the just right next step.
Mukta Reveal is a multicultural body of work, both in the fact that Larissa is a multicultural and mixed race person, and in the variety of cultural streams that feed it. Larissa approaches culture with a dragon’s eye view, both respecting the need for cultural integrities while also recognizing that all cultures, all lineages are alive, changeable, and constructed. There is a bounty of medicine and fruit to be had from studying the origins of culture making, especially the way in which it is shaped through art-making.
Mukta Reveal is a signal being cast out to those both human and beyond human, material and subtle, ordinary and unfathomable, who have an undeniable desire for high integrity play. Who know, or suspect, that liberated artmaking will take us where we need to go. It is my pleasure to protect this signal, and to feed it as tidal waves of distraction or distortion attempt to temporarily gunk up our perception. This is a daily devotion, a daily prayer, that requires a networked, collective participation. If this is you, I welcome you and I thank you for giving your attention and presence to this pathway.

The Artist’s Boudoir also includes the BIPGM/BIPOC weirdos-only tree house where we can have an affinity space to experiment and play.

Larissa Kaul (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist, facilitator, ritualist, and counselor designing experiences to support people in waking up to their creative agency and the ancestral technologies of art-making. They design play-labs and performance workshops that feed Spirit, welcome home the exiled, shape culture, and reinvigorate our birthright to embodied liberation. They are a queer, backwards-learning, mixed race south asian european diasporee led by their natural biophilia and the nondual wisdom traditions of their ancestral lands; particularly the emphasis on “spanda” (vibration, the pulse of life) and the unencumbered spontaneous Lila or divine play as the foundation for reality and an access point to wisdom. They are also researching the original animistic grief practices of pre-colonial Scotland and Ireland as a means to relate to emotion and feeling as divine teachers.
